In Indian classical music, the teacher who taught you (respectfully called 'Guruji') is very important. Sandip studied with Pandit Ishwar Lal Misra, following the 'Guru-Shisya-Parampara' (teacher-disciple tradition).

The Music on this Site

This site allows you to listen to a 1'30 minute tabla solo piece in 'teentaal - drut' (a fast rhythmic cycle of 16 beats). This piece is taken from the solo-CD 'Reflections'.
